Frontierland |
Frontierland is one of the theme parks of the Magic land. With the twang of the banjo music associated with the smoked turkey legs, it leads you to the wild west of Frontierland.
The cascading water of the splash mountain and the exciting screams of the visitors sitting in the trains of big thunder mountain railroad invite you to explore the pioneer homeland.
Exploring and relaxing in the theatre and watching old fashioned plays are also very interesting.
The beauty of frontierland cannot go ignored and the garden enthusiasts will surely appreciate the century plants, mesquite trees, Jerusalem thorns, slack pines and their fragrant flowers surrounding the place.
Dining opportunities are many both, indoors as well as outdoors. They serve hot dogs, salads, hamburgers and chicken.
The frontierland shops an extensive variety of themed souvenirs such as Native American toys, turquoise jewelry, woodcarvings, leather goods, south souvenir songs.These items are also found in the Trail Creek Hat Shop, Prairie Outpost and supply, Frontier wood carving and the Briar Patch.
Frontierland attractions are Big Thunder Mountain, Tom Sawyer Island, Splash Mountain, Restaurants, shows, events and shopping.
The big thunder is a runway roller coaster featuring 20 figures including donkeys, possums, chickens, and few more.
As you pass by you can watch various attractions such as falling rocks, earthquake and experience a toss from one side to another. However, thrill seekers can fascinate by riding in the back of the train.
Being one of the major attractions, usually there is a big queue. The country bear Jamboree is an old fashioned grizzly hall with 20 bears.
The show offers humor and entertains with singing talents. Splash Mountain is a ride that features more than 100 animatronics figures when your log boat passes through caves, bayous, swamps and plunges into briar patches.
A camera catches all the fearful delight writ on your face during the final plunge and this picture is displayed to you for purchase at the end of the ride. Here the line is usually longer. You should not panic as you will get wet. It is refreshing on hot days. The Tom Sawyer Island offer kids an opportunity to play in caves. It is accessible by raft only. Tom Sawyer has a decent place for eating on cheese sandwich, peanut butter, fried chicken and ice cream.
The restaurants offer low fat foods and the shopping areas such as Frontierland shooting arcade, briar patch, frontier mercantile, splash court and splashdown photo are great places of souvenirs and shopping.
