Universal Orlando is the second largest theme park in America next only to the Walt Disney World Resort. Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalks and three superb hotels are the main attractions of Universal Orlando.
Universal Studio Florida is jointly promoted by NBC Universal and the Blackstone Group was opened in 1990. It was originally named as Universal Studios Escape and the name was subsequently changed to Universal Orlando Resort.
Other attractions such as Islands of adventure and Universal CityWalks, luxury hotels, multilevel parking facilities were added later. Today Universal Orlando gives neck-to-neck competition to Walt Disney’s World Resort and draws thousands of visitors every year.
The ‘Ride the Movies” theme lets the guests feel like that they are part of the movie that they watch. This unique concept is enjoyed by the visitors and draws increased visitors every year.
There are six themed areas such as Hollywood, New York, Production Central, San Francisco, World Expo and KidZone. The latest addition to Production central is Shrek 4D. This provides fantastic 3 D effects which were seen in movies such as Spiderman, and Cameron Diaz. Shrek 4 D is surely in your ‘Don’t Miss’ list.
Another ride that provides the same amount of excitement as the other rides is Jimmy Nuetron’s Nicktoon Blast.
This ride involves the rider with Retroville’s genius Jimmy alongside his pal, Carl and other Nickelodeon characters such as Spongebob and Rugrats who in a bid to save the earth steal Jimmy’s rocket to destroy the world.
The other enjoyable regions of the Universal Studios are the University City walk that comprises of numerous restaurants, clubs and shops.
The universal’s island of Adventure Park is comprised of six unique islands and all these are based on themes.
The entrance is through the Port of Entry and makes its way through various islands such as Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, Marvel Super Hero Island, The Lost Continent and Sesus Landing.
Another novel island based on the prominent theme Harry Potter is scheduled to open next year. The Halloween Horror nights are another immense Halloween events in the U.S. that is presented at Universal Orlando Resort. This event was conducted at Universal Studios Florida.
The Halloween Horror Nights slowly extended to Islands of Adventure, but the event gradually moved back to universal studios Florida. The universal Orlando is a not to be missed attraction and has explicit dining and shopping delights.
